My name is Sam McCool, and I am an industrial design student in the University of Cincinnati's Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) program, graduating with the Class of 2029.

I grew up in Newburgh, Indiana, where I was surrounded by unconventional, problem-driven design on my family's farm.

Growing up, I watched my dad and grandpa constantly build practical solutions for everyday challenges using the materials they had available. Their creativity and resourcefulness sparked my interest in design and continue to shape the way I approach problem-solving today.

Those experiences taught me that good design is rooted in creativity, adaptability, and purpose. They continue to inspire me to create products that are both functional and thoughtful.

Outside of design, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, camping, skiing, photography, and attending local car meets and automotive events.
